TMS Discussion Threads
The following is a list of links to some of the better discussions from our old forum. However, we encourage you tovisit our new foruminstead.

  • Back surgery: afraid of making the wrong decision: "If I remember correctly, Dr. Sarno and others mention things like bone fractures, cancer, and infections. For most people with extrusions, etc., they recommend a TMS approach. If you tell me which TMS books you have I may be able to point out a relevant passage."
  • BrianLeeJackson’s RSI/TMS Thread: "This is my eighth month of chronic pain, and sometimes I still think I can't go on. The pain is so bad. I can't talk to any of my friends about this because they simply don't understand, they are still off at college enjoying life. I'm sitting at home praying every day just to have no pain."
  • Surgery - I don’t know: "I hurt my back several months ago, the acute pain subsided with 2 doses back to back (cortisone) some pt and rest. I have gone to 2 orthopedics that stated I was surgery was not necessary and went to 2 neuron surgeons that said I needed to have a discectomy."
  • Update on back pain: "The most important thing to keep in mind, I think, is to recognize that, assuming that it is just TMS/PPD and a doctor has ruled out anything more serious, that this is normal. It's important that you don't blame it on yourself or take it as a personal failing. Some people just take longer to heal."
  • Identifying a common name for mindbody syndromes: "Personally, I think if psychosomatic had not gotten such a bad rap from the world of psychology all these years, and in the minds of the general public, it would be the best and most comprehensive word/diagnoses to use."
