On this new website, we have a weekly chatroom and TMS book discussion, an active forum with participation from TMS practitioners, a webinar archive, a media library, and up-to-date versions of all 600+ pages from the old TMS Wiki as well as new ones. Please update your bookmarks and weblinks to help us reach more people in the future. Best Wishes,

TMS Discussion Threads The following is a list of links to some of the better discussions from our old forum. However, we encourage you to visit our new forum instead. - Could TMS appear in the same place as a previous structural injury: Since journaling can uncover repressed emotions, our unconscious mind will try to prevent us from doing it, as it thinks we cannot handle the strong emotions. Our unconscious mind may feel threatened by what may arise during journaling.
- Pain after back surgery - was it all TMS, or was surgery necessary: I recovered using the TMS/PPD approach and feel other people can as well. The article you mention makes a great point that back abnormalities do not necessarily equal back pain. Once you take the proper precautions you can see if this approach is right for you.
- Nerve pain after lung biopsy: I was aware of being angry and sad prior to the biopsy but don't understand why it manifested in this way unless it was nerve damage caused by the surgery. Which is how it has been diagnosed. Have you ever heard of this kind of pain or nerve damage? Could TMS help?
- Getting RSI/TMS from masturbating too often: Just like pain has a really powerful effect on us that allows our unconscious to use it to distract us, sex can be the same way. A great power to distract and therefore, a great way to escape something that we don't want to deal with.
- Anger begets anger, right?: If our brain is our body, our body our brain, why are we fostering a dichotomy that doesn't exist? For me, the symptoms seem to subside (but do not go away) when I just let them be. When I trust my health and strength. When I get angry at my brain, the pain increases. Anger, after all, begets anger.
