On this new website, we have a weekly chatroom and TMS book discussion, an active forum with participation from TMS practitioners, a webinar archive, a media library, and up-to-date versions of all 600+ pages from the old TMS Wiki as well as new ones. Please update your bookmarks and weblinks to help us reach more people in the future. Best Wishes,

TMS Discussion Threads The following is a list of links to some of the better discussions from our old forum. However, we encourage you to visit our new forum instead. - Stiff lower back in the morning: It sounds like you accept the TMS diagnosis, and are definately doing the right thing by not fearing the pain and pushing on through. On the other hand, seeing a TMS doc for "free" sounds like a good opportunity.
- Could vasculitis be TMS?: EMDR deals more with psychological issues (though also with some somatic conditions). It also seems to deal more with trauma issues that are either known or that can readily be pulled out of the subconscious, and not so well - in my case anyway - with possible deeply repressed subconscious traumas.
- TMS and GAD: Anytime you hear yourself saying "what if", you are inadvertently creating and/or exacerbating significant tension in your body which will either initiate or 'fuel' a TMS scenario. As a part of your mindfulness practice, notice the 'what if'' language.
- Is back surgery sometimes necessary, when risking paralysis?: I just really want to know if Dr. Sarno would agree with my doctor once he saw my MRI or if he would say that paralysis was an impossibility and therefore no need for surgery. I'm trying to find anything written by Dr. Sarno that discusses back surgery thats needed to avoid paralysis.
- Tumor on toe: most people won't do the presence process in my experience. it is as if the ego knows that doing the process will cause too drastic a change to be tolerated. doing the process requires that one give up(progressively) the ability to be a victim of anything.
