TMS Discussion Threads
The following is a list of links to some of the better discussions from our old forum. However, we encourage you tovisit our new foruminstead.

  • What’s in a name: a discussion on renaming Sarno’s TMS: In that respect, it's not as if we are trying to do something different from what others are already doing. And, as I suggested, the rest of the 'community', especially those 'professionals' who are members of the wiki, have the option to discuss the new name and come to a decision right here!
  • Anxiety and TMS: It's incredible just how much thinking gets in the way of healing! That's my lesson too, to just 'be' and not over think or anticipate what may or may not happen, how I may or may not feel. I need to remember that this can take time, so try to be patient and not too hard on myself.
  • TMS Victim? Please read my struggle and comment: My name is Brian Jackson, I am 22 years old and currently suffering terrible RSI pain in my right arm, hand, wrist, and fingers (or at least what I thought was RSI). Have had numbness, tingling, sharp stabbing pain, aching, you name it.
  • Back pain returned: I can honestly say after reading a couple of Sarno's books that I do have a fear of getting old/dying. I saw my first wife die at an early age and now as I get older (41) I get more and more focussed on my aches and pains and their possible causes.
  • TMS relapse: Although Dr Sarno says you don't have to change your personality, if you do carry on as you are, you will continue to get what you have already got. So in other words, by recognizing your destructive learned behaviours, why you have them and how they cause you pressure, you can begin to see how you can modify them and ease the self induced pressure.
