TMS Discussion Threads
The following is a list of links to some of the better discussions from our old forum. However, we encourage you tovisit our new foruminstead.

  • Foot pain and TMS: The fact that your pain has not responded to the mind body treatment may be because you still think it could be structural. Believing that our symptoms are caused by our emotions is key to recovery. You are not however asked to believe without evidence.
  • Anxiety and TMS: It's incredible just how much thinking gets in the way of healing! That's my lesson too, to just 'be' and not over think or anticipate what may or may not happen, how I may or may not feel. I need to remember that this can take time, so try to be patient and not too hard on myself.
  • ACUTE SCIATIC PAIN ADVICE: I have just had the results of my MRI which says I do not have a herniated disc just one that is somewhat 'diminished', also all nerve tests done in my leg are normal......it just has to be TMS would still love to hear of any other sciatica sufferers out there in cyberspace!
  • Back pain: structural or TMS: I was having scary sciatica when I read Sarno's book, the few days after I felt great. Now, days 4 and 5 are kind of painful but without sciatica. I am going all out and doing all the things that are supposed to make pain worse, despite the fears of hurting myself.
  • Importance of not trying too hard: For me acceptance is about accepting TMS, not accepting the pain. I'm acknowledging that TMS is here for a reason, it's here to tell me that my life is not in balance and I need to find out how and why it's not, and do something, or lots of things to change it.
