TMS Discussion ThreadsThe following is a list of links to some of the better discussions from our old forum. However, we encourage you tovisit our new foruminstead.- Singer with unexplained throat pain - TMS?: "A new job can be stressful, so it might be helpful for you to journal on how you feel about the new job. What apprehensions do you have about it? Fear is one of the hardest things to overcome, but if you accept the diagnosis and think psychological you will increase your chances of overcoming TMS."
- Past tailbone injury, or Sarno’s TMS?: "Jayne, 'stirring up your anxiety' is exactly the reason why you should not be hesitant to journal. I understand the fear, though, but in fact it is what will help you get relief. Writing things out, in spite of discomfort, emotional outbursts or fear help me."
- Scared of walking: "I am having few new physical problems which are tms (knee pain-other knee, not the leg affected by sciatica, and occasional finger numbness) so it could be that the brain is realizing. I'll know when things settle down."
- TMS Victim? Please read my struggle and comment: "My name is Brian Jackson, I am 22 years old and currently suffering terrible RSI pain in my right arm, hand, wrist, and fingers (or at least what I thought was RSI). Have had numbness, tingling, sharp stabbing pain, aching, you name it."
- Fear of movement: "Sciatica -- brings back memories. That was what the young (and cute) ER doc diagnosed me with when i first had back pain in 2006. He looked at me a few minutes and said "classic sciatica" well, thank you, I'm a classic! LOL Learned of Dr. Sarno after that and, well, the rest is history."
