Getting to know you

Just finding my way around the site which I registered with while surfing Little while ago. The TMS approach sounds to me something like a psychosomatic approach to some conditions, my interest has been exploring how different people have a range of sensitivity to changes in the weather pattern which I suspect can be understood as a psychosomatic response to changes in the electrical charge of the air or put more simply how well our positive life experience insulates our emotions and negative experience has the opposite effect. In respect to weather pattern changes.
In the course of research I joined the Mediclim site which issues its members with 24 hour alerts for numerous weather sensitive conditions one of which is migraine, migraine being for the Mediclim system a generalized label for a range of headaches so I am wondering as to if any TMS members have used the TMS approach to reduce the severity of Migraine or troublesome headaches. Interestingly a French PET scan study for cortical spreading depression found that it takes 24 hours from the initiation of a Migraine to the completion of the full blown episode so this seems to agree with the Mediclim 24 hour warning system for weather sensitive migraine.

Hi there,

Welcome to the wiki. Are you a migraine sufferer yourself?

These 2 pages have some recovery stories:
http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/Migraines
http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/Headaches

I have used the TMS approach to get rid of headaches and (visual) migraines.

The TMS approach doesn't have any relation to the weather, but you might find it interesting anyway.

I hope this helps.
